The Role

The purpose of the Network Administrator’s position is to be responsible for administration and maintenance of school network and ICT environments. In addition, identifying, escalating and managing issues through to resolution.

  • Fulltime, Part Time and Casual positions available

  • Work onsite in Victorian school environment as a technical specialist

  • Work autonomously with a strong mentoring program

  • Set hours Mon-Fri, 830am -5pm, no on-call, no weekend work

 

Responsibilities:

  • Server and Network administration

  • Demonstrated networking knowledge, including but not limited to: Routing, NAT, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP services

  • Experience in virtualisation technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V and/or Citrix

  • Hands on configuration and troubleshooting of hardware like servers, firewalls, switches and wireless infrastructure is an advantage

  • Interpersonal skills & ability to explain technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels

  • General computer hardware and software support

  • Active Directory and Group Policy management and administration skills

  • Service Desk and end user device support

  • BYOD management and support

  • Technical document writing including instructional and training materials for leadership and users

  • Strategic ICT planning with school leadership

  • Maintenance of ICT network documentation

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary education desirable (Cert 4 in IT Systems Administration or similar preferable)

  • Certification in relevant technologies (eg. vCloud, CCNA, MCSA, CompTIA)
